Guest Speaker

Dr. Jacob B. Aguilar
Dr. Jacob B. Aguilar is a distinguished mathematician, researcher, and academic leader whose work bridges rigorous mathematical theory with real-world public health impact. As an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Saint Leo University, he is recognized for his dynamic teaching, innovative research, and commitment to student excellence.
At Saint Leo, Dr. Aguilar also served as Associate Director of the Honors College, where he mentored high-achieving students and helps shape interdisciplinary academic initiatives. His leadership extends beyond campus: he is President of the Florida Section of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), having previously served as Vice President of Programs. In this role, he champions mathematical scholarship, professional development, and collaborative engagement across the state. Additionally, as a Faculty Partner with Cengage Group, he consults on digital learning platforms such as WebAssign, contributing to the evolution of technology-driven mathematics education.
Dr. Aguilar will discuss the use of AI in daily duties as an instructor.
