About Us
The Louisiana-Mississippi Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges is an affiliate of AMATYC (American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges) whose purpose is to heighten awareness of the vital importance of the first two years of collegiate mathematics education to the future of our students and the welfare of the region.
​OUR PURPOSE

The Association is a non-profit educational association. The purpose is to
a. encourage the development of effective mathematics programs;
b. develop and improve the mathematics education and the mathematics-related experiences of
students in the first two years of college mathematics;
c. promote the professional welfare and development of its members;
d. promote professional cooperation and communication among teachers,administrators, and governing
boards;
e. promote support for and involvement in the American Mathematical Association ofTwo-Year Colleges.
