Donna Densmore

Presentation Title:  From playing with Little Professor to becoming a Professor.  My journey with technology, it's pros and cons. 

I am concluding my 42nd year of teaching and my 33rd year at BPCC.  I have taught the entire gauntlet from 1st grade to college calculus in private schools, public schools, universities and community colleges,  My husband and I also homeschooled each of our four children.  Two of them have mathematics degrees, one a masters, and a third has three master's degrees, while the fourth is following his own nonacademic path.   I have taught in many different modalities, including face to face, hybrid and online and numerous term lengths from 3 weeks to 16 weeks for college and of course full school years when teaching K-12.  I also tutor various ages from Kindergarten to college throughout the year, working with many students who are on the spectrum.  My husband of soon to be 43 years has been with me along the way and been my support through every journey but especially during my return to graduate school after ten years of teaching.  He would watch our three boys while I was preparing for my three graduate math classes.  In my spare time I like to run, work in the garden, take care of my chickens and have Nonna Camp for my six grandchildren each summer.
